Calcium Silicate

When exceptional strength and durability are required along with low thermal conductivity, calcium silicate products provide a solution. An insulation product which is a pre-formed, high-temperature, abuse-resistant pipe and block insulation with exceptional structural strength, composed of hydrous calcium silicate for use on systems operating up to 1200°F (650°C). Available in a large selection of sizes and forms, calcium silicate distributed by Taylor Insulation can fit many industrial applications.

Mineral Wool

Mineral wool is a high-temperature industrial insulation, providing excellent performance in hig- temperature thermal control and fire-resistance applications. Mineral wool composition includes rock and slag wools and inorganic strands of mineral fibre, bonded together using organic binders. Mineral wool pipe insulation provides excellent thermal insulation performance for mechanical/power and process piping systems operating from sub-ambient to 1200°F (650°C). Mineral wools are used on all types of pipe and vessel work, particularly industrial pipe and vessel work operating at higher temperatures. Applications focused on thermal performance with a lightweight, easy to install insulation are well-served with mineral wool. Available in a variety of shapes and sizes, this product assortment can maximize control of processes while contributing to reduced operating costs and energy savings.

Fiberglass

Fiberglass pipe insulation is a high-performance insulation made from rotary glass fibers bonded with a thermosetting resin and produced in 36" (0.92 m) lengths. Micro-Lok HP is used to insulate standard iron pipe and copper tubing. The 3-foot (0.92 m) sections are available plain or with a factory applied vapour-barrier jacket.

Cellular Glass/Urethane

FOAMGLAS® insulation, earns an excellent rating in its overall performance assessment. Due to its unique combination of physical characteristics, which provide safety, durability, sustainability and long-term economic benefits, FOAMGLAS® insulation is the preferred insulating material for industrial construction.

The inorganic safety insulation material FOAMGLAS® insulation, which is composed of millions of completely sealed glass cells, has stood the test of time in applications for decades. This all-glass, closed-cell structure provides an unmatched combination of physical properties ideal for piping and equipment above the ground, as well as underground, indoors at operating temperatures from -268°C to +482°C (-450° F to +900°F):

  • Resistant to water in both liquid and vapour form
  • Noncorrosive
  • Noncombustible/nonabsorbent of combustible liquids
  • Resistant to most industrial reagents
  • Dimensionally stable under a variety of temperature & humidity conditions
  • Superior compressive strength
  • Resistant to vermin, microbes and mold
  • Fiber, CFC and HCFC free

FOAMGLAS® insulation is manufactured only from crushed glass and carbon, is free from fibers, CFC and HCFC and is environmentally sound. With its constant and long-term energy efficiency, FOAMGLAS® cellular glass insulation provides low, predictable energy costs. At Taylor Insulation, we can provide custom fabricate your FOAMGLAS® requirements, pipe cover, elbows, segments and more.
